My name is Feruza. My son Abdul-Aziz is 15 years old. He was diagnosed with liver cirrhosis in 2008,
and we went from Dagestan to the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital in Moscow. The boy underwent
liver transplantation (my husband was the donor), but it turned out in January 2010
that my son had hepatitis B. He is to take Baraclude, which is a very expensive drug.
A six-month course of this drug costs 120,000 roubles (almost $4000).
Our financial situation is very difficult. My husband became officially disabled
after he served as the liver donor for our son. We have no money to buy this drug
all by ourselves. Please help our son get this vitally necessary therapy!
With hope,
Feruza Amankeeva, mother of Abdul-Aziz
