16.05.2009 Masha S. (2.5 years old) from Kursk has been admitted to the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics. She does not yet talk, but in general she is very active and smart. When she saw a wheelchair at the hospital department, she was immediately eager to climb into it, and when this was forbidden, she defended her rights until the senior nurse gave her a doll stroller. Masha was so happy!
25.08.2009 Masha is recovering after her operation. She is presently living in our new rehabilitation center near Moscow. The physicians say that her treatment goes all right.

20.03.2009 A new patient of the Abdominal Department is Zhenya P., 7 months old, from Ivanovo. The kid weighs only 4 kg. Our nurse Olya takes care of him. This child was left by his mother at the maternity hospital, and now he has virtually no clothes, for home or for being outside. We hope that our friends will help him.
29.04.2009 We are completing the fundraising for Zhenya P.'s benefit. The sum transferred from SEABROOK LIMITED ($5500) is sufficient to buy the necessary medications for the next three months. We thank all who have responded and helped the boy!
16.05.2009 Zhenya was successfully operated several days ago. He is feeling all right.
21.07.2009 Physician Yulia Averyanova tells about the condition and treatment of Zhenya P.:
"Zhenya has already got used to the hospital department. He has undergone many ordeals: his parents left him, then he had two surgical operations on his intestines, then treatment at various hospitals. However, we are happy to see that the kid does not give up. Your Foundation has found him a nurse, who has been providing round-the-clock care for him for three months. During this time, the boy's condition has improved a great deal. He has gained some weight and undergone another surgery with a fine result. Now it is time for rehabilitation. The Foundation, the staff of our department, and also kind and compassionate people support the boy all the time. But nothing can be equal to family care. We sincerely hope that Zhenya will yet find a family that would take him and raise as their own child."
25.08.2009 Recently Zhenya P. celebrated his first birthday. See his new photograph here. He has grown up a great deal and gained weight.

21.03.2009 Anna has been discharged after a surgical operation in fine condition. She is to arrive for follow-up treatment in several months.
28.01.2010 Anya O. has been admitted to the hospital for follow-up treatment. We became good friends with this active and merry girl when she was in Moscow last time. Now Anya is already 3. She is quite a big girl, interested in books, especially in her favorite interactive book that "speaks" bird and animal voices.

17.01.2009 A new patient of the Department of Neurosurgery is tiny Nastya D. from the Mytishchi town hospital (Moscow region). She is two months old and weighs only 2 kg. However, in spite of the child's low weight, the doctors decided to perform surgery at once, so that the girl could grow and develop as a normal child.
21.01.2009 Nastya has undergone her surgery, which was successful. We will take the girl's photograph after she returns to her hospital department and recovers a little.
13.02.2009 Fortunately, Nastya needed just a minor operation. The girl has already recovered and left the hospital. Now doctors at her place of residence will control the girl's condition. Let us wish her to find a new family soon!

23.11.2009 Masha now lives in a new family!

8.10.2008 Charming little Ilya I. from the Moscow region is just 2.5 months old. He has been admitted to the Department of Neurosurgery with spinal cord hernia (myelocele). Fortunately, doctors at his orphanage know that this diagnosis does not now necessarily mean an incurable condition. The earlier the kid is operated, the higher his chances of success.
So far the boy is an active baby with very lively reactions to everything around him.
21.11.2008 After a surgical intervention, little Ilya has been discharged. During the two months at the hospital, Ilya (who is now almost 5 months old) has not only grown up a great deal but also developed quite well: he laughs and plays a lot and moves his legs all the time, so that his nurse even has problems with dressing him. It is hard to believe that he has undergone such a serious surgery on his spine! He will arrive for a check-up in six months, and everybody hopes that all his health problems will be over by that moment.

Kristina was placed in the same ward as Anna M., and a nurse hired by our Foundation willingly takes care of both girls. Kristina gladly talks to her nurse and volunteers, plays, uses cellular phone. Her favorite occupation is drawing, and she mostly draws "home to live in".
30.09.2008 Kristina has undergone a successful neurosurgical intervention. Rehabilitation should now be performed.

16.10.2008 Kristina has been allowed to return to her orphanage for half a year. The effect of the surgery will be completely clear by the end of this period, and it will be possible to speak of the prospects of her further rehabilitation. Parting with Kristina was sad: she wept and didn't want to leave the hospital, her nurse and her new friends. Even presents didn't make her merrier. The photo on the right shows Kristina the day before her discharge from our hospital.
