Orphan Eva Z., aged 2 years 10 months
old, is a patient of the Department of Clinical Immunology. Diagnosis: primary immunodeficiency.
Presently the child's condition is grave owing to CMV infection: a very large number of CMV copies have
been found.
To survive, the child needs therapy with Valganciclovir (1 pack, 450 mg N 60). It is the only agent
that can be used to treat the CMV infection in this child. One pack of Valganciclovir costs
67,000 roubles (about $1800).
