Yura Lobanov
30.01.2004 Yura Lobanov's situation has improved. His chemotherapy is over, and he is feeling good. Now he will have to undergo several examinations in order to reveal the residual tumor. If there is none, Yura will soon be allowed to go home.

09.01.2004 Dear friends, We are very grateful to all of you for helping Sasha Morozov and Yura Lobanov.

Yura Lobanov is also showing positive dynamics. Although the doctors say that it is still too early to feel at ease, but for the time being there are no signs of the tumor. The purulent infection was successfully treated with Tienam. The boy feels quite good. He has got two short blocks of chemotherapy left. If nothing unexpected happens during these blocks, Yura will go home.

04.01.2004 Anonymous contributors transferred 3000 roubles and 70 USD for Yura via the online credit card system.
Dear kind people, help us cure our son!
Our family is in grave trouble. Our only son Yura fell ill with the most grave disease: cancer. The exact name of his tumor is Burkitt lymphoma.
We live in a village in the Ryazan region. We receive our salaries only with a several months' delay, and this money suffices only to buy the most vitally necessary things. When Yura fell ill, he was taken to the Ryazan hospital. There he had an operation and three blocks of chemotherapy. We had to buy all things necessary for the treatment, from gloves to medicines, by ourselves. Then we were transferred to the Oncohematology Department of the RCCH in Moscow, where, fortunately, the level of equipment and medical assistance is much higher.
The doctors say that our chances for complete cure are quite good. However, nothing can be achieved without some medicines that are important for the child's life. Yura badly needs Tienam, Ambisome, and Mabtera. These are very expensive medicines, and the hospital cannot provide them to us now. And we just can't buy them, given our low income, because the total required sum amounts to thousands of dollars.
Our boy is only 8 years old. Please help him survive and start his second school year next autumn! It is so hard to be near your child and look at him without knowing what will await him tomorrow. I am writing this letter in hope that somebody will help us save our boy and buy the medicines without which all the doctors' efforts will be in vain.
Now, during the Christmas and New Year holidays, you can give a child the best present: a new chance, a new life!
