The hospital administration and the staff of the Department of Marrow Transplantation are whole-heartedly grateful to your foundation for help in treatment of children.

For example, patient Katya Kuznetsova, 17 years old, developed respiratory distress syndrome on November 6, 2008, after bone marrow transplantation. The respiratory failure was refractory with respect to therapy. Using the BIPAP apparatus, which was received by the hospital from your Foundation, we started to provide noninvasive lung ventilation to the girl. Her condition gradually improved.

This is one of the numerous cases where our patients were given a chance for recovery thanks to help received from your foundation. In addition, the foundation provides spiritual and emotional support to children and their parents.
Now we have to ask for another favor. Many of our patients need the use of the BIPAP apparatus for lung ventilation. However, there is a shortage of accessory parts. We would be grateful if you could also provide our patients with eight facial masks (2 small, 3 mid-size, and 3 large) for this apparatus.

These masks cost a total of $930.
