29.12.2008
The traditional all-hospital New Year celebration took place. We wanted to give a feeling of
joy and festive occasion to children who have to spend the holiday far away from home.
Just as ever, Santa Clauses with presents came to each department and even visited bed-ridden patients
at their wards. We want to thank young actors from the Krug group, who have been participating
in these New Year mini-performances at our hospital for many years.
In addition, circus performers with trained animals visited
departments where the most gravely ill children receive treatment: the Departments of Oncohematology,
Oncology and Kidney Transplantation.
The children and their parents whole-heartedly thank all who helped in organization of this celebration.
We want to thank our friends for their New Year presents to the hospital children. In spite of the world economic crisis,
we received such a lot of presents! We haven't seen anything like this in much more prosperous years!
We also thank volunteers who helped in packing the presents: students of the Higher School of Economics
and young people from the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Happy New Year!
