My son Pavel is almost 12 years old. In September 1999 he got sick with a very serious disease : acute leicosis. Pasha is in a very bad shape now : mouth and throat are affected by infectious fungus, pneumonia started. Funds that are necessary to start treatment are incredibly huge for me . I raise the child alone and my parents are pensioners. I am an accountant , but now I do not work because I take care of my son. We both are in the ward of general hematology of the All Russia Children Hospital. The planned operation for Pavel now is transplantation of a marrow that will cost about 12 000 US $ . At the moment the boy need donors of trombotitis he so badly needs. Pavel is given blood transfusions daily, otherwise he won't sustain. I hope and believe that kind people will answer my plea for help and together we will save the life of my son. Inna Nikolaevna Khilko.
Pasha Khilko and his mother wrote to Alesha Chetsky:
Hello, Alesha and Mother!
Thank you very much for financial and moral support and compassion. You
helped us very much. We wish you would never be sick. Happy New Year! Let
the New Year you're expecting enter your life as a happy and prosperous
year, and may all your wishes come true!
Pavlik feels better now. We are very happy to be in this hospital. Pavlik
studies, trying not to fall behind his classmates. There will be another
difficult operation of bone marrow transplantation, but we are sure
everything will be all right.
Pavlik wishes Alesha to get only "4's" and "5's" at school.
With best wishes and kind regards, the Khilko family — Pavlik and his
mother.
