Vika Pudovkina

Vika was born in 2000. A pretty, healthy newborn. But at the maternity hospital there was a staphylococcus infection, which subsequently caused hematogenous osteomyelitis. This disease was diagnosed too late, when Vika, unconscious, under artificial lung ventilation, was taken to the Tula regional hospital. The girl was already in critical condition: sepsis, intoxication, thrombosis, bilateral pneumonia. The doctors at the intensive care unit in the Tula hospital failed to cope with her condition, and Vika was taken to the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital in Moscow by ambulance aircraft.
During the seven years of her treatment, Vika has undergone 12 complex surgical interventions. Unfortunately, it was already impossible to avoid amputation of her left leg. So now she needs a prosthesis. A good prosthesis costs 250,000 roubles ($7350). This sum is enormous for us, because our family income is not high. I have lost my job, because I must take care of my ill daughter all the time, and my husband is just a worker at an industrial enterprise. There is also another child in our family.
Please help our daughter stand and walk! Thank you very much!
