My daughter Dasha cannot walk. She has congenital lumbosacral meningocele. Her first operation
took place when she was just eight months old. And, during the seven years of her life,
she has acquired a number of additional disorders.
In spite of all this, Dasha goes to a normal school. But she encounters a lot of
physical and moral difficulties. I try to help her as much as I can: I take her to school,
to an art center, to a rehabilitation center. But this will not enable her to walk.
She needs a Dospekhi system, which costs 56,000 roubles (about $2000). It is
expensive and cannot be provided free of charge, at the expense of the state budget.
Our family is very far from rich. Only Dasha's father has a job, and, besides, we have
to live in a rent apartment. Please help our daughter start walking!
With hope and respect,
mother of Dasha Rezvyakova
