Physician Marina I. Persiyantseva is telling:
From 2003 to July 2006, preliminary search for a donor was conducted
for 124 patients. Among them, 78 patients were included in official
search, and more precise HLA matching in Germany was performed for 66 patients.
A total of 35 unrelated marrow transplantations were made over this period.
20 patients are alive, and 15 died. That is, the total survival rate at
present is 58%.

2003
Six transplantations from unrelated donors; 2 patients are alive, 4
are dead:
1. Alena Myakotina, acute myeloid leukemia, alive.
2. Andrei Mikhailov, acute myeloid leukemia, died (GVHD).

4. Nastya Savelyeva, acute lymphocytic leukemia, alive.
5. Serezha Papkov, chronic myeloid leukemia, died (GVHD).

2004
Nine transplantations from unrelated donors; 7 patients are alive,
2 are dead:
1. Maxim Matveev, acute biphenotypic leukemia, alive, at home.
2. David Gubaidullin, chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, alive, at home.
3. Igor Obolenski, aplastic anemia, alive, at home.
4. Sergei Tropin, familial lymphohistiocytosis, alive, at home.
5. Dasha Krasavina, Hurler syndrome, alive, at home.
6. Stas Krasavin, Hurler syndrome, alive, at home.
7. Sasha Selezneva, myelodysplastic syndrome, died.
8. Artem Blashchenko, hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis, died.
9. Dima Rogachev, acute myeloid leukemia, alive.
2005
There were 51 candidates for preliminary search; official search was
performed for 17 patients.
Thirteen unrelated transplantations were performed; 4 patients are alive,
9 are dead. The reasons for these deaths are either progression of
the main disease in spite of the transplantation or uncontrollable graft vs.
host disease and its complications.
